Purchasing Green Products

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Money TreeWhat we buy individually is small potatoes beside the quantities purchased by large firms and governments. Millennium Development Goals, Evidence of Positive Changes

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

GapminderI teach in the public schools and constantly try to impress the students that there have been a lot of changes in my lifetime and that there will be many more changes during their lifetime. I then challenge the students to become a part of the positive changes.

Sometimes it is hard to see visual evidence of the positive changes, so I was glad to find this video on You Tube from Gapminder.  Just click on Start to view the video.  The video is about how certain health programs have made a big difference in developing countries.

By the way, these changes relate to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals directly.

There are numerous other interactive graphs and webcasts at Gapminder.  All are interesting and worth checking out.

Dara Jane and Dr. Kevin continue their spiritual political discussion, covering areas from Federal vs. State based law systems and the two-party system, and Olivia Stefanino comes back to talk about her Quantum School, and why making money isn’t such a bad thing if it means the message can be spread to more people.
